Submitted by Steve on Thu, 2006-01-26 19:13.Garfield Park at Clarendon Village (formerly 2900 N. 10th Street) – TCS Realty Associates had their proffered zoning application approved by the County Board to allow for a mixed use development with 141 residential units, 8 live/work units, 20,757 square feet of office space and 4,085 square feet of retail space. The proposed amendment would reduce the gross floor area from 250,000 square feet to 208,000 square feet. The new building will have a height of 5 stories. The site is currently occupied by a CVS and the Sala Thai restaurant. (N. 10th Street and Washington Boulevard).
The Views at Clarendon – The First Baptist Church of Clarendon received approval from the County Board in October for a mixed use church and residential development. The project preserves the existing 107-foot church steeple, reconstructs the church and provides 116 rental residential units. The existing low scale educational building and day care center on the north side of the block will remain. The building height will be 10 stories. Seventy of the residential units will be guaranteed at affordable rate – 60% of area median income for 60 years. (N. Highland Street and N. 13th Street)
